What Are Credits and How Are They Used?​

Credits are the units used to power your interactions with Ludus AI. Every request you make, from generating a 3D model to asking a question in the chat, consumes credits. The number of credits required for a task is dynamic and depends on several factors, including the length of the conversation, the complexity of your request, and the size of any project files or blueprints involved.
The way you write your prompts significantly impacts your credit usage. Clear and specific prompts lead to better results and more efficient credit consumption.

How Much Do Actions Cost?​

Cost Hierarchy​

In general, the cost scales as follows (from lowest to highest):

  1. Lite Mode: Most affordable. Best for general questions and simple tasks.
  2. Full Mode: Higher cost. Provides deep technical knowledge and complex reasoning.
  3. Agent Mode: Highest cost. Performs autonomous actions and complex blueprint generation.

Why Costs Vary​

We cannot provide fixed numbers for every action because usage depends on several factors:

  • Task Complexity: More difficult reasoning requires more credits.
  • Conversation Length: Longer chat histories increase the amount of context processed.
  • Output Length: Longer, more detailed responses consume more credits.
  • Context Size: Large project files or blueprints increase the processing load.

Here are some average ranges to give you a general idea:

  • Model Generation: av. 1000-2000 credits
  • Blueprint Generation: av. 800-2000 credits
  • Blueprint Analysis: av. 750 credits
  • General Question: av. 300 credits

How to Track Your Credit Balance
You can find your current credit balance in the Ludus AI web application or the plugin, displayed under your username at the top of the page (app) or next to the mode selection (plugin). As you use the service, you can see this number decrease in real time.

Credit packs​

If you require more credits than your monthly plan provides, the Credits tab in the Billing section of Ludus’ web application allows you to purchase additional credit packs https://app.ludusengine.com/billing/credits. These are one-time purchases, and the credits never expire. Unused purchased credits will roll over to subsequent months.

Available credit packs:

  • Small: 35,000 credits for $15
  • Medium: 100,000 credits for $35
  • Large: 250,000 credits for $70
  • Ultimate: 600,000 credits for $150

Understanding Credit Renewal: Subscription vs. Credit Packs​

Your total credit balance consists of two types of credits, which work differently:

Subscription Credits: These are the monthly credits included with your Free, Indie, Pro, or Enterprise plan or with your Trial. They reset at the beginning of each billing month. This applies to both monthly and yearly plans. Any unused subscription credits do not roll over and will expire at the start of your next billing month.

Purchased Credit Packs: If you need more credits, you can buy additional packs from the Billing > Credits tab. These credits are only used after your monthly subscription credits have been depleted. Purchased credits never expire and will remain in your account until you use them.

How to Conserve Your Credits​

What Happens if an Error Consumes My Credits?
Subscription fees and payments for credit packs are generally non-refundable. However, we understand that issues can occur. If you believe your credits have been consumed due to a bug or an error on our platform, please contact our support team. We will investigate the issue and, if a platform error is confirmed, we will ensure the appropriate credits are returned to your account.
