ðŠ Credits & Costs
Credits are the units that power your interactions with Ludus. Every request, from generating a 3D model to asking a question in chat, consumes credits. The number of credits a task costs is dynamic. You can see your balance in the plugin next to the mode selector and in the web app under your username.
What drives the costâ
The cost of a request depends on several factors:
- Mode: the mode you choose sets the base cost. Lowest to highest: Agent Lite, Agent, Agent Max. See Modes.
- Task complexity: more reasoning costs more.
- Conversation length: longer chat histories carry more context per message.
- Output length: longer, more detailed responses cost more.
- Context size: large Blueprints and project files add processing load.
Subscription credits vs. credit packsâ
Your balance can hold two kinds of credits:
- Subscription credits: included with your plan and the trial. They reset at the start of each billing month and do not roll over. This applies to both monthly and annual billing.
- Credit packs: one-time purchases from the Billing Credits tab. They are used only after your subscription credits run out, and they never expire.
See Plans & Billing for plan allowances and pack details.
Tracking usageâ
The monitoring dashboard at app.ludusengine.com/monitoring/usage shows how, when, and where your credits are spent.

The Logs tab breaks usage down per request, showing the date, time, chat ID, type, and credits used for each prompt.

Spending lessâ
To make credits last, see How to Reduce Credit Costs and Effective Prompting.
If an error consumes creditsâ
If you believe credits were consumed due to a platform bug, contact support@ludusengine.com. If a platform error is confirmed, the credits are returned to your account.
